Startup Academy

March 11, 2018 @ 1:45 pm - 4:15 pm

As one of the new initiatives of The Hopkins Club for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (The Hopkins Club) for 2018, the Startup 101 course aims to provide a series of introductory classes to the new (or soon-to-be) entrepreneurs in the Hopkins and greater Baltimore communities.

Time: 1:45-4:15pm
Venue: 701 E Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21202
Language: Chinese

The Startup 101 course curriculum is developed around 8 key building blocks that are essential to the success of startups. At the center, ‘Idea’, ‘Product/Service’, and ‘Commercialization’ form the core of every startup and they define what a business does and how it makes money. Surrounding the core building blocks, ‘People & Culture’, ‘Operations & Management’, ‘Finance & Fundraising’, and ‘Regulations & Administration’ are key supporting elements that directly impact the performance and sustainability of the business. Finally, ‘Tools and Resources’ refer to the affordable or free business tools, information, and services that can accelerate the growth of startups. These tools and resources can address and facilitate any of the other building blocks mentioned above.

On March 11th, The Hopkins Club will host the first Startup 101 Workshop with an introduction to the course curriculum and three classes. The classes will address the topics of ‘idea’, ‘product/service’, ‘commercialization’, ‘people & culture’, ‘finance & fundraising’, and ‘regulations & administration’. We look forward to your participation!

Note: the workshop will be conducted in Mandarin.
