The COVID-19 Oral History Project, initiated by Johns Hopkins’ alumni, is an online collection of interview audio clips, transcripts, and photographs of people who are experiencing and struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic from all over the world. Our project is launched on January 25th, 2020. We started by interviewing quarantined Wuhan citizens, and as COVID-19 spread, we gradually approached interviewees in Italy, France, and the United States. Our Interviewees‘ geographical scope is still expanding.

Our mission is to document this on-going history as it develops, create a dense database for future academic research, and establish a platform to present diverse perspectives and connect global citizens through their voices and stories. We hope our effort could promote understanding among people from different cultures and countries, and inspire everyone to see that eventually, we will get through COVID-19 together.

Currently, we are recruiting more interviewees. If you are interested in sharing your stories and thoughts, we would love to hear from you.
