Biography:

Nina Lamba is Senior Program Manager of the BioMaryland Center within the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development. One of the original members of Maryland Life Sciences Advisory Board. She has also made significant contributions to the biomedical literature, including 1 book, 4 book chapters, and 8 journal articles, and is a patent holder. She is a Member of the American Chemical Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK).

Dr. Lamba holds a B.Sc. (Honors) degree in Applied Chemistry from Aston University, U.K. and a PhD degree in Bioengineering from the University of Strathclyde, U.K. She joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Delaware as a post-doctoral research fellow. After, she was Director of Biomedical Technology for a small technology company. In 2003, she co-founded CCL Biomedical, Inc., a small company spinning out of University of Delaware, focused on developing antimicrobial compounds, and developing textiles for infection control and biodefense. She led the company through technology development, product optimization, and pre-pilot assessments.
